This Privacy Policy explains how the Law Office of James P. McGarvey, PLLC ("the firm," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit this website or contact us through it. We keep it simple: we collect what we need to respond to you and represent our clients — nothing more — and we never sell your information.

When you use the contact form, the website chat, or reach out by phone, email, or fax, you may provide information such as your name, email address, phone number, the general subject of your legal matter, and anything you choose to include in your message. Providing this information is your choice; we use it to respond to you and to evaluate and provide legal services.
Website chat
The chat on this site is operated for the firm by Mylo Prime, our client-engagement platform. If you use the chat, the conversation — along with the name, phone number, or email you share in it — is processed and stored by that platform on the firm's behalf so we can follow up with you. The chat assistant provides general information only and cannot give legal advice.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting and security providers (including Cloudflare) automatically log basic technical data — such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps — to keep the site fast and secure. This site does not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics. The chat feature may use browser storage to keep your conversation connected during a visit, and our infrastructure providers may set strictly necessary security cookies.

Contacting the firm through this website does not create an attorney-client relationship, and information sent before we have agreed to represent you may not be treated as privileged. Please do not include sensitive or confidential details in a form or chat message until a representation has been confirmed in writing.
Data retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above and to satisfy legal, ethical, and professional record-keeping obligations that apply to law firms.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards — including encrypted connections (HTTPS) — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
